Eating Out Has Changed
Since re-opening we’ve had lots of encouraging and supportive feedback about how we operate under the new COVID-Saftey measures.
Thank you to all who have left comments and suggestions and welcomed our re-opening. And a special thank you to all who have dined with us since re-opening or who bought from us during lockdown.
Buon Apps Has Had To Change
After the long lockdown and the imposition of COVID regulations we now operate in a different way. Things are not as they were pre-COVID.
We have fewer tables, a reduced menu, new safety and sanitising protocols, new ways of working and changes to the layout of the building.
This new way of eating out is as new to us as it is to you. We are learning and adapting every day. Unfortunately we cannot, yet, offer the same choice as in pre-COVID days.
The way we run Buon Apps has had to change and that means changes for our guests. We feel that in the current climate, those changes are for the best to ensure the safety or all.
What To Expect
Seating
We cannot always seat everybody at the table they want, much as we wish we could. We know that most guests want a table overlooking the river, but it is impossible to offer that. We try hard to accommodate everybody but if the window tables are being used we have no option but to offer alternatives. When making your reservation you can ask for a particular table but we cannot guarantee to provide it.
If your group is from more than two households, current COVID regulations mean we cannot allow you to dine indoors. Your only choice until the regulations change is to dine outdoors on the Garden Terrace.
Menus
We cannot, yet, offer the same choice of menus. Currently we are able to offer dishes from one menu plus daily specials. We think there is something for everyone on that menu. As we settle into these new ways of working we expect to be able to increase the menu options. Before we do, we must be sure that it makes business sense to introduce a broader choice.
Service
Our staff now wear protective equipment when interacting with guests and the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. We have tried to minimise the impact on guests and the service they receive as much as we can. Please bear with us while we find out what works and what doesn’t.
Onwards
We will do our utmost to give you the table you want. If we are able to we will cook you a dish that isn’t on the menu.
If we are unable to offer your preferred choice of table or the menu or dish your were expecting, please be kind, polite, patient and understanding. Our staff all work hard to make your visit a success. We will not tolerate any rudeness or unkindness to them.
If you have a problem with table offered, food choices, service, quality of food or drink, quantity or pricing, please ask to speak to me (Alessandro) or the duty manager if I am unavailable. I would much rather you said something and give us an opportunity to put it right than to leave unhappy.
