Mill Lane Closure in Otley: Temporary Routes to Buon Apps During Bridge Construction From September 2024

Background

In September 2024, Mill Lane in Otley will temporarily close for two or three weeks to allow the construction of a new bridge. At the time of writing we cannot tell you the exact dates. This closure is essential for improving the infrastructure, but it will affect access routes to nearby businesses, including Buon Apps. We’re here to guide you on how to get to Buon Apps as easily as possible during this period.

When is Mill Lane Closed?

From September 2024, Mill Lane will completely close to traffic for two or three weeks. This closure is crucial to facilitate the construction of a brand-new bridge to enhance local transportation and safety.

Alternative Routes to Buon Apps Restaurant

If you’re planning to visit Buon Apps during the closure, you’ll need to follow these alternative routes depending on your direction of travel:

1. Travelling from Otley Town Centre

  • Route 1a: Head down North Parade, which will then lead onto Manor Street. Take a right turn at the bottom of Manor Street, and you will arrive at the restaurant.

  • Route 1b: Alternatively, you can go down Bridge Street and take a right onto Cattle Market Street. Then, turn left onto Manor Street, and at the end of Manor Street, turn right to reach Buon Apps.

2. Travelling into Otley from Billams Hill

If you're coming into Otley from Billams Hill:

  • Turn left onto Cattle Market Street.

  • Then, take another left onto Manor Street.

  • At the end of Manor Street, turn right, and you'll arrive at Buon Apps.

Important Note: Avoid Mill Lane Off Bridge Street!

During the closure, do not attempt to access Mill Lane via Bridge Street. The road will be completely closed, and attempting to drive down will result in getting stuck and causing unnecessary traffic problems. Please use the recommended alternative routes to avoid any delays or issues.

Plan Ahead: Allow Extra Time

With these changes in place, we recommend allowing yourself a little extra time to get to Buon Apps, especially during peak hours when traffic may be heavier. While the alternative routes are straightforward, planning ahead will ensure you enjoy your visit to the restaurant without stress.
