COVID Precautions at Buon Apps

What We’re Doing To Keep Guests and Staff Safe

You will probably have seen or heard the news about the increasing numbers of those who have contracted the Omicron variant of COVID. We hope this will answer some of your questions about what we’re doing to protect guests and staff from the spread of the Omicron variant.

Despite the relaxation of regulations earlier in the year we decided to continue with all the safety measures we had in place, and have had in place, throughout the pandemic. We felt this was the safest thing to do.

  • All staff wear masks.

  • We take staff temperature checks before each shift.

  • All staff must take a lateral flow test before the start of their shift.

  • All staff are instructed to report any illness immediately to their Line Manager so appropriate action can be taken.

  • Frequent hand washing and sanitising is part of the staff routine.

  • Kitchen Staff and Front of House Staff do not share changing rooms, toilets, rest rooms etc. They are in their own respective bubbles.

  • All staff are instructed to maintain and observe social distancing as far as possible.

  • Designated cleaners refresh and sanitise areas and touch points in the restaurant, kitchen and service areas throughout the day.

  • Hand sanitisers are placed throughout the restaurant, in washrooms and staff areas.

  • Tables are an appropriate distance apart and have screens bewteen them.

  • We offer table service only. Guests are not permitted to order at the bar areas.

  • We use specialised anti-bacterial menus.

  • Condiments are provided in sachets only.

  • We have a large outside dining area which is fully covered and heated for customers who prefer to sit outside.

  • Bearing in mind the comfort of guests we regularly open windows to maintain a flow of fresh air throughout the building.

Guests can also play their part when dining with us. We politely ask customers to:

  • take lateral flow tests before arrival at Buon Apps

  • where masks on entering, leaving and walking through the building.

  • use the hand sanitiser provided.

Dine Outdoors

If you prefer you can also choose to eat in our covered outdoor area. We have tried to make it as warm, welcoming and as comfortable as possible. Although we always recommend booking for indoor dining, there’s no need to book for the outdoor area; ‘walk-ins’ are very welcome.

Thinking of Cancelling?

We understand that despite the measures we have put in place some will prefer not to dine with us. If you have a reservation and don’t intend to come please give us as much notice as possible so we have an opportunity to let others have the table. If you booked online it is easy to amend or cancel your reservation online too. Look for the information in your booking confirmation email. Alternatively please give us a call on 01943 468458.
